What If the Problem Isn’t Your Child?

What If the Problem Isn’t Your Child?

Based on the podcast “Spiritual Conversation” by HolisticCircle, hosted by Philipp Kobald

You Call It Hyperactivity. She Calls It High Frequency.

We’ve built an entire culture around fixing children. Calming them down. Diagnosing them. Dulling them into manageable shapes so we can get on with our chaotic adulting. But what if we’ve got it backwards? What if the wild, sensitive, high-energy kids are actually the ones carrying the real medicine?

That’s the proposition Shannon Siba makes — without shouting, without blaming, but with the calm clarity of someone who knows what’s at stake. Shannon is a healer from Edmonton, Alberta. She runs Trophic Energetics Healing, where she uses Reiki, sound therapy, and workshops to empower children, teens, and their often-accidentally-wounded parents.

Her work is tender but confrontational. “They’re not broken,” she says of the children labeled with ADHD or “behavioral issues.” “They’re actually high-frequency beings. It’s the rest of us that are disconnected.”

Boom. Welcome to the paradigm shift.

Earth First, Diagnosis Later

Shannon doesn’t play the blame game, but she’s laser-clear: the system is upside down. The real dysfunction, she suggests, isn’t in our children — it’s in a society that keeps them inside, labeled, medicated, and estranged from the ground beneath their feet.

Her approach begins with earthing, not evaluation. “Most of these kids are spinning out because they’re too much in their heads,” she says. “They need grounding. They need nature. They need to reconnect.”

And she means that literally: bare feet on grass, tree-hugging, sound vibrations to re-balance scattered energy. She’s seen the shift — over and over — in families that stop trying to control their children and start learning from them.

As she told host Philipp Kobald with gentle honesty: “We’re so busy labeling children that we forget they’re showing us where we’re unhealed.”

When the Labels Start to Hurt

What’s refreshing — and a little uncomfortable — is that Shannon doesn’t coddle parents either. She challenges them. Kindly, but firmly.

She recalls working with families where the child’s “problem” turns out to be the parent’s own unhealed trauma ricocheting through the generations. “This isn’t about blame. It’s about recognition. So it can stop with you.”

And when the family is open? When they’re willing to look past the label and into the soul? That’s when the magic happens. Shannon’s workshops often include parent-child duos. They learn Reiki together. They go outside together. They stop pushing and start observing.

These aren’t classes in behavior management. They’re initiation rites into healing lineages — starting with the youngest generation.

What If They’re Not Too Much — Just Too Uncontained?

You know those kids who’ve been described as “too loud,” “too sensitive,” “too emotional,” “too intense”? Shannon has another word for them: awake.

“High-energy children are incredibly gifted,” she says. “But because they’re not taught how to manage that energy, it explodes — or shuts down. And instead of guiding them, we tell them they’re broken.”

She teaches these kids to anchor themselves through sound, breath, movement, and spiritual tools. The goal isn’t to quiet them. It’s to tune them.

And as for their “inattention”? Try this on: maybe they’re not distracted. Maybe they’re just not interested in nonsense.

The Empowerment You Never Got at 13

Shannon’s also running empowerment workshops for teens and tweens, particularly girls — and if you think that means vision boards and herbal tea, think again.

This is emotional self-defense training.

She teaches consent — not just the kind you learn in school, but energetic consent. How to say no. How to listen to your body. How to recognize when you’re shrinking to fit in. And how to pull your energy back, unapologetically.

“Your voice is sacred,” she tells them. “Use it.”

Philipp quips that Shannon is “TikTok-ready,” with her vivid nail polish and current lingo. But make no mistake: she’s not here to trend. She’s here to dismantle the idea that girls have to be polite to be safe.

The Frequency of Real Love

In one of the podcast’s most astonishing turns, Shannon speaks about her telepathic connection with her partner, Dale — a divine masculine counterpart who co-facilitates a powerful 3-day healing experience with her.

“I can hear his thoughts. I can feel when he’s in pain, even from far away,” she says without hesitation. “It’s not spooky — it’s love. And love is frequency.”

Together, they work on clients as a duo — she tuning into the upper chakras, he anchoring the lower ones. They literally meet at the heart. Some clients say it feels like their soul is spinning out of their body. Others report physical releases of long-held trauma.

What they’re doing is more than a healing service. It’s a living demonstration of what alignment between two whole, healed people can create. And it’s rare — because most people haven’t done the work to meet someone at that level.

Society’s Not Ready — But Kids Are

Philipp asks her the question we’re all thinking: If this is so powerful, why hasn’t the world caught up yet?

Shannon smiles, but doesn’t flinch. “Because fear is profitable. Fear is easier to control. Love isn’t.”

She believes that change won’t come from institutions. It’ll come from families — especially the children. “Some kids are already breaking cycles even when their parents won’t,” she says. “They’re that strong.”

It’s a quiet revolution, one workshop at a time. And it’s spreading. Because the matrix may be loud, but the heart is louder.

What If You Believed Them?

Here’s the part that hits hardest: Shannon isn’t asking us to fix our kids.

She’s asking us to believe them. Believe that their big emotions aren’t malfunctions. Believe that their sensitivity isn’t weakness. Believe that their refusal to comply might be the sanest response to a deeply insane world.

And maybe, just maybe, if we stopped medicating their magic, we’d remember our own.
