So... About Me?
Yeah, That One’s Tricky.
I once heard someone say, “It’s easier to list what I don’t do than what I do,” and I thought—bullseye. That’s me, 100%.
I’m famously bad at tracking the things I’ve done. I don’t take pictures (ironic, since I spent 15 years as a pretty successful international photographer). I never collected newspaper clippings or kept footage of my TV appearances. Nada. Zilch.
I’ve finished a few university degrees but never actually picked up the diplomas. The ones they sent me, my lawyer lost them during the nostrification process. Classic me.
Split Screen Life
Truth is, I’m a split personality. Different timelines running parallel, depending on the focus of the moment.
One thread: I’m a serial entrepreneur. When I say “multi-company founder,” I mean it. Some ventures went really well. Some broke even. And some? We don’t talk about those.
Another thread: I studied traditional medicine. Worked as a therapist—briefly. Turns out I’m too impatient with patients. But I started teaching meditation at 19 and more or less never stopped. That’s 30+ years of teaching tucked under my belt.
Artist? On and off. Had some wins there. Hobbyist food producer? On and off. Right now, I’ve got a small vinegar project going. Oh—and I finished classical music studies. But mostly I’m a businessman. Regrettably, perhaps.
Right Now: A Bit of This, A Bit of That
These days? I’m 53, podcasting a little, having great one-on-ones, still running a few companies. Making wooden things, candles, and of course, vinegar. It's a more relaxed chapter.
I’m "preparing" for my pension years ahead—finally diving into some business ideas I never had time for. Maybe I’ll even scale up HolisticCircle if the stars align.
According to My Wife...
And if you ask my wife? “You’re an entitled, upper-middle-class kid—too well-off to care, just floating through life, enjoying things, not really giving a damn.”
Ah, marriage. Always there to keep you humble.
